I've thought about this for a while and I'm gonna say it. The ball has been dropped, and unfortunately no one is capable of picking it back up and no one can tell us when that might be. With an initial "strong" release and promising outlook, Halo infinite looked like a hopeful return to form, and while on the surface it does that, the insides are riddled with false promises, continually pushed back deadlines and overall consistently inconsistent excuses. The game should've been pushed back another 6 months to a year as faith in 343 is diminishing among the community, with the only rays of sunshine being these short time modes because it's new content, something the game desperately needs, and not just in the form of a battle pass. Co-op coming out sooner probably could've saved this game and don't even get me started on Forge(a whole year wait??) And with co-op likely being pushed back again, as well as probably season 2, this game falls short, mainly of the high expectations set by the player base, but only because the developers made us think that was gonna be the next great title, and it's far from.
If you ordered a pepperoni pizza and got it delivered but it didn't have any pepperoni, and when you called the store their only solution was to send a driver back out there with cooked pepperoni and that was 3 hours ago, you wouldn't wanna order there again
