My husband refuses to put a picture of our recent wedding on Instagram or any social media.
We have been together for several years and we recently got married. At first I had to literally beg him to get engaged, which he finally asked after 4,5 years. Then, two years later, we bought a house and the notary told us we should get married ASAP for tax benefits.
So my husband/fiancé at that time, refuses to give a weddingparty. He doesn’t like it and wants to just get married in silence. Now keep in mind, this is new information for me. He never said this before in the times we discussed the wedding. Ofcourse I said no and we agreed to do a very small party. Totally not how I wanted, but I was happy that I at least got ‘something’. He didn’t even bother buying a new suit for the wedding.
A month later and our weddingpictures arrive. I ask him: Wich one do you want to put on social media? He gets extremely mad at me for asking this question and doesn’t want to put a picture of us. He said the reason is that he posted nothing on social media since 2017 and he is not going to change that.
What am I missing here? I don’t feel comfortable with the way my relationship is going but at the same time, in day to day I think we are very happy. Why doesn’t he really want to post a pic of the wedding?
