Dudes of AskMen, do you take the ethics of a company in consideration when buying things?

My wife recently talked to me about how bad Dove and Unilever as a whole is after I bought some of their Dove men+care body wash. I then realized how little I've thought about the ethics of a company before buying their products. I never thought that this is part of being a good shopper. Am I the only one or do ethics matter for you guys? Also if you know any good companies, feel free to share

Edit: Damn this post seemed to strike a chord with a lot of you. A lot of you mentioned that you don't have the time to find ethical companies so I'll put some here and you can check them out. Although there are many companies that are "unethical" to varying degrees, there are some that're quite good. I've looked through their documentation before putting them on here so you can rest assured that I haven't fallen for BS advertising. (DM if you want me to add any)

Any B Corporation is a safe bet. They have to meet rigorous standards to maintain that label. (A link to their website (list of B Corp companies):https://bcorporation.net/directory)

World's Most Ethical Companies (A link to their website (set to the US):https://www.worldsmostethicalcompanies.com/honorees/?fwp_country=united-states ) Method Products (Their men's line is very good and it has an assortment of products) Seventh Generation (Variety of products and they have some very good sales) Patagonia (A bit on the expensive side but if you are thinking of buying North Face or other outdoor gear, I would highly recommend this one) HP (It's one of the most, if not the most, sustainable ones in the electronics category and not greedy like Apple) Klean Kanteen (Very ethical+sustainable and it's a good option over Hydroflask or S'well) Tillamook (Makes good ice cream and ethical it's a no brainer) Pela (Plant based materials in phone cases and it's "1% for the Planet")\ West Paw (Montana-based sustainable doggy toys)
