Show HN: An AI agent that tailors your resumé to beat ATS filters
Most resumés are rejected by AI before a human ever sees them. Applicant tracking systems screen for keywords, structure, and relevance long before a recruiter looks at anything.
I built a small app that uses AI to operate on the other side of that filter.
You upload your experience once. Then, for any job posting, the agent parses the role, analyzes requirements, and generates a fresh, ATS friendly resumé tailored specifically to that job. Bullet points are rewritten to match the posting’s language, relevant experience is prioritized, and the output is a clean PDF in about a minute.
Under the hood, this is powered by Subconscious, which handles the agent reasoning, job parsing, and structured resumé generation. The agent also does light company research and keeps your experience stored as structured data so it improves over time instead of creating duplicate documents.
The goal was to reduce the manual, repetitive work of rewriting resumés while acknowledging the reality that software is doing most of the screening.

Characters who left the story because of problems with the actor

I think this is the most famous case of this trope. In the sitcom Two and a Half Men, the protagonists are the rich womanizer Charlie Harper, played by Charlie Sheen, and the broke, divorced Alan Harper, played by Jon Cryer. They live together after Alan’s divorce, when he needs a place to stay. Despite both being protagonists, many fans saw Charlie as the true main character and the face of the sitcom. During the show’s run, Charlie Sheen had many problems with drugs, which caused production issues, including delays when the show had to wait for him to leave rehab. There were also Charlie’s angry outbursts, during which he made extremely negative public comments about the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre. Even with these problems, they still tried to keep him on the show by paying Charlie Sheen more than 2 million dollars per episode for seasons 8 and 9. However, this ultimately proved impossible. As a result, in the first episode of season 9, his character was killed off-screen, with the explanation that he had been murdered by his stalker ex-girlfriend. Charlie was then replaced by a new character named Walden, a billionaire who becomes friends with Alan, buys Charlie’s house after his death, and allows Alan to continue living there in an attempt to avoid changing the status quo too much.
In the Disney sitcom Pair of Kings, the protagonists are the twins Brady Parker, played by Mitchel Musso, and Boomer Parker, played by Larramie Shaw. The brothers discover that their deceased parents were kings of an island called Kinkow and that they must assume the throne. In 2011, when Mitchel Musso was 20 years old, he was arrested for driving under the influence, and Disney chose to remove him from the show. To justify this within the story, the show stated that Brady fled Kinkow after discovering that his crush believed he would never mature as long as he remained king. To compensate for his absence, the show introduced a previously unknown lost brother named Boz, who coincidentally returned to Kinkow on the very same day Brady ran away.
In Assassin’s Creed, the story follows two organizations that have fought throughout human history to decide the future of humanity: the Assassins, who seek to free humanity, and the Templars, who want to control it. In the first three main games, there is a character named Lucy, an Assassin who rescues the protagonist Desmond, a former Assassin, after he is kidnapped by the Templars. Throughout the games, Lucy is Desmond’s main companion and even seems to be set up as his potential love interest. However, at the end of the third main game in the franchise, when Desmond is controlled by the “spirit” of an ancient being, he is forced to kill Lucy. In the DLC of the following game, it is revealed that Lucy was actually a Templar spy. Her death was very abrupt and clearly not well planned, since her betrayal was only revealed through extra content in the sequel—and not even through a proper scene featuring her, but through another character narrating her betrayal. AITA for not giving my parents the master bedroom in my house?
Hi all, first time posting!
My parents and younger brother are about to move into my house (4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms)and I’m having a bit of a dilemma!
I offered for my family to move in with us whilst their house is getting built after the sale of their current home. We live in a rental crisis and when a rental is secured it can be really expensive. I’m super close with my parents and without thinking, of course I offered them to live with me for the 1.5 yrs it’ll take to build. Currently living in my home is myself, my husband and our newborn baby. My husband is only home one week of the month as he works away. It was loosely agreed that my parents and brother would take the back two rooms which have a bathroom (walk in shower and bath) and toilet beyween the rooms and set up their sofa and tv in the activity area next to the rooms so they would have one wing of the house and my husband, daughter and I the other side of the house. My daughter currently stays in our room but will eventually move to the back of the house near my parents next to the activity area. We have a one storey house.
My mother has been making comments to the effect of “I think your dad and I should be getting the master bed room” in a casual non-serious way which has bothered my husband who says they’re not getting our room. She’s also made comment that they’ll hear the baby crying during the night so she thinks I should be at the back room closer to her (to be honest there is not much distance between the master and my daughters future room and the back rooms). Also that the tv in the activity area will keep the baby awake when she moves into her own room so she should stay in the theatre room next to the master. Now I’ve found out that my mother has been making comments to my other brother that it’s disrespectful that I haven’t offered her and my dad the master bedroom that has an en-suite because she’s going to be paying half the mortgage. This had not been agreed - an amount they would pay us monthly was agreed but it’s no where near half the mortgage, it’s enough to cover bills.
So my question is… AITA for remaining in the master bedroom and not giving it to my parents?

AITJ for refusing to remove the lock I put on my sons door after my wifes nephew kept taking his stuff
My wifes sister lost her apartment a while back and moved in with us along with her son who is 17. My son is 15. They never really hung out before but I figured theyd get along fine sharing the house.
The problem started almost immediately. Her nephew has no concept of boundaries. He walks into my sons room whenever he wants and takes things.
Video games. Headphones. Chargers. Even money once. My son complained multiple times and I talked to the kid about it but nothing changed.
My wife and her sister kept brushing it off saying theyre boys and this is just what they do. Theyll figure it out. I disagreed.
The final straw was when my son saved up for weeks to buy a limited edition controller he really wanted. It wasnt cheap. A few days after he got it the nephew took it without asking and broke it. Said it slipped.
Didnt even apologize properly. My son was crushed.
I went and got a lock for his door. When my wifes sister and her son saw it they were offended. She said I was treating her son like a criminal. That borrowing stuff between boys living together is normal. That my son shouldnt have expensive things if he cant share. She even said I was spoiling him and creating bad habits.
My wife took her side. Said I embarrassed her family by putting a lock on the door and demanded I take it off. I told her the lock stays until her sister and nephew are out of our house.
She got upset and said I was threatening to kick them out. I reminded her that I was the one who agreed to let them stay in the first place when no one else in her family would. Her own parents said no. Her brother said no. I said yes. And now Im being treated like the bad guy for protecting my sons space.
I just want my kid to feel safe in his own room. AITJ?

Unpopular opinion? If we take Greenland by force, then we're no better than Russia taking Ukraine
I don't oppose Pres Trump and the USA seeking to expand territories for the many reasons that exist. However, we need to do so "correctly". We can try to sell the idea to the populace and/or the current government. We can offer something for the acquisition. BUT, We CANNOT forcefully take land. If we do so, then we are just as evil as Russia for its expansionary military actions in Georgia, Chechnya, Ukraine, etc.

Most of the screentime was usually taken by the OGs, which I always loved and wanted to watch. Did the shift from the older kids to now younger ones made sense to you or do you think show could've ended just fine with the same focus on the older cast? It's just that we got a new character that we were supposed to be invested in immediately. Did you find that smooth? PS: the actress did a great job with the role. Ask HN: How to Handle Randomness with AI?
hi,
i end up making the ai (openai) chose 20 random words, then taking a random word from those and passing it to the next call to the ai.
i also use the seed parameter but it keeps giving the same answers even with different seeds
what do you think?
