I want to buy some hardware for an after school program to help students follow a CCNA track.
What hardware is cost effective, but still has some longevity? I'd like to buy them hardware that will at least last 2-3 years. Please mention hardware needed for the entire track. I'm not currently up on the skills for CCNA in 2019.

A guy walks into a bar with his pet monkey.
He orders a drink and while he's drinking, the monkey jumps all around the place. The monkey grabs some olives off the bar and eats them. Then he grabs some sliced limes and eats them. He then jumps onto the pool table and grabs one of the billiard balls. To everyone's amazement, he sticks it in his mouth, and somehow swallows it whole. The bartender screams at the guy, "Did you see what your monkey just did?"
"No, what?"
"He just ate the cue ball off my pool table... whole!"
"Yeah, that doesn't surprise me," replied the guy, "he eats everything in sight. Sorry! I'll pay for the cue ball and stuff."
The guy finishes his drink, pays his bill, pays for the stuff the monkey ate and leaves.
Two weeks later the guy is in the bar again, and has his monkey with him. He orders a drink and the monkey starts running around the bar again. While the man is finishing his drink, the monkey finds a maraschino cherry on the bar. He grabs it, sticks it up his butt, pulls it out, and eats it.
Then the monkey finds a peanut, and again sticks it up his butt, pulls it out, and eats it.
The bartender is disgusted. "Did you see what your monkey did just now?"
"No, what?" replied the man.
"Well, he stuck both a maraschino cherry and a peanut up his butt, pulled them out, and ate them!" said the bartender.
"Yeah, that doesn't surprise me," replied the guy. "He still eats everything in sight, but ever since he had to shit that cue ball out, he measures everything first now."
I don’t know how I feel about that

This is something I've been grappling with for a while as I have started considering looking for a new job.
I've been working at one of the big 5 (do we still call them that?) for the past 5 years and it seems that every company in the industry, large or small, has not only escalated the whiteboard hazing rituals, but entered in to a full-on arms race where the difficulty of problems one can expect has spiraled out of control and become a game of "we both know you memorized this solution but let's pretend you're coming up with it from first principles wink".
At the time, I also had copious amounts of free time with which to spend hours each day grinding leetcode problems online.
Not only do I not have that time any more, I don't have the inclination to do so. Spending 20 (or more!) additional hours each week doing nothing but solving algorithm problems sounds like an egregious waste of time.
And grind problems I would otherwise have to - my day-to-day is focused on delivering quality software and leading a team, I haven't had to write an algorithm to invert a binary tree, or find triplets in an array that satisfy a geometric sequence once.
Even recruiters seem to be getting in on the action themselves. I recently spoke with a recruiter at another of the big 5, and, during the initial conversation, they started asking basic questions such as "which of these algorithms is O(nlogn)". After answering a few of them I politely told them I was no longer interested and ended the conversation.
At this point I think I've come to terms that my only real options are remain where I'm at until the end of my career (and if I ever get fired or laid off I don't know what I'll do), or go back to school and pursue a different career in a field that respects people and trusts them.
I just don't see the industry changing for the better here. If anything, it has gotten significantly, noticeably, horrifically worse since I was last engaged in this process.

Nice.
They all relax, take off their shoes, and start making small talk. After a while, the Jew says, "Who wants a drink?" The Arabs say they would like orange juice, so he gets up, and goes to buy juice. While he's gone, the Arabs spit in his shoes.
When they reach their destination, they put their shoes back on, and the Jew finally realizes what happened. He stands up and cries, "When will this end?!? The hatred, the spitting in shoes, the peeing in orange juice!"
As he sits down the bartender comes over “dogs are not welcome here, please leave”. Unperturbed the dog says “gimme a beer”, the bartender pulls a gun out from under the bar, points it at the dog “I’m not warning you again “. The dog simply will not leave so the bartender is forced to shoot the dog in the foot. Blood everywhere the dog howls and whimpers his way out. In a few weeks the incident has been forgotten until one day in walks the same dog, only this time he’s dressed in all black with a shiny silver six shooter on his hip. He swaggers his way up to the bar, tips his hat back and looks the bartender in the eye. “I’m looking for the man who shot my paw”.

The links to comments, posts and the various too nav are super hard to hit accurately on my phone. Would any admin be open to implementing an improved UI for smaller viewports? I’d gladly donate the time to implement it, if that’s of any benefit?

Me: You should know, you did it.
Most of the posts here on HN are links to pages on other web sites. How do I find pages featuring particular words among these?
E.g. I'd like to find an article on digital signal and processing which probably had the words like "signal" and "filter" in its text but all I can remember about the title used on HN is that it probably didn't feature either.

So, this actually happened two days ago, and it's still developing. I am working at a company where I feel completely miserable, and that pays barely enough to pay rent and survive, and been here for three long years. Anxiety attacks, depression, and the complete lack of hope into having a life where I don't have to struggle and skip meals to be able to pay my bills started to accumulate and boosted me to start sending cv's everywhere. The thing was that no one was calling even after months and months of applications. The paranoia starts and I slowly start to convince myself that my portfolio sucks, that I'm horrible at what I do, that I'll be stuck in this job forever, etc. etc. A few months go by, and a friend of a friend knew what I did, and asked if I was interested in an interview at her company because they had a job position opening up. I say yes of course, send my cv and portfolio, they answer back saying they loved my work and want to meet me personally for an interview. The interview itself went perfectly. I never felt so comfortable talking to someone in english (not my native language, and neither the native language of the guy that interviews me), and in the end, the guy basically says, and I quote word by word, "For me, it's a yes, now it's up to you if you want to accept this position". Of course I said yes, the job seems amazing, the pay is more than double of what I am currently making, it was way closer to home, everything is perfect. Before saying goodbye I asked him to send me by email the formal proposal just to be sure, he says, sure, I'll send it to you today or tomorrow, and I go back to work. The next day, and heres the fuck up, I give the notice to my boss before receiving the proposal in fear of not be able to start when need, telling that I got an awesome job proposal, but that I need to start in less than a week and half. Everything is being arranged where I work as I write this, I've handed my resignation letter, talked to the company owner and everything. What I did not consider, is that I had to give at least 60 days of notice since I am a permanent employee, and while I'm writing this, the HR department is to call me and tell how they will settle this up, in other words, how much money am I going to have to pay or "not make". The rest of the day of the interview goes by, and nothing on the proposal. The next day I email them, sending all my informations, and asking for the proposal, and they say that the dude that interviewed me is going to contact me. So today he messages me: "Hey man, ****** told me that you are available at the combined date, but remember, we are still to make a decision, did you tell your office that you are leaving?" And I say that yes, of course, I legally had to, especially to start the day that you mentioned. And he just responds with an "Oh."
I don't know if I misunderstood something he said, or if he forgot to say something to me, but he always seemed assertive that I was going to be hired, since they weren't really interviewing anyone. Also, take in consideration that the interview was really informal. I asked if they when where they going to make the decision, and he said today, so I guess I'll update in a few hours if I'm unemployed and potently homeless, or if I got my dream job.
TLDR: Got ahead of my self, quit before getting an official job proposal; might be unemployed and homeless if everything goes bad.
Edit: Update in the Comments! (https://www.reddit.com/r/tifu/comments/da025b/tifu_by_misunderstanding_a_job_proposal_and/f1nv3j7?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x)
