AITA for eating the lunch I brought even though my coworker forgot theirs and asked for it?

I (27F) always bring my lunch to work. I try to meal prep on Sundays so I don’t have to spend money on takeout during the week. My coworker Sam (30M) is nice enough, but he’s very forgetful and often comes to work without food. Usually he just goes out and buys something.

Yesterday, right before lunch, Sam realized he forgot his meal at home. He saw me heating up mine and asked if he could have it since “I can always buy something later. I was caught off guard and told him no that I brought my lunch for myself, I planned and paid for it, and I didn’t want to spend extra money.

He got kind of annoyed and said I was being selfish, because it’s just one meal” and I could “easily afford takeout. Another coworker overheard and later told me I could’ve been more generous. Now I feel a bit guilty, because it was just one lunch… but at the same time, I don’t think it’s my responsibility to feed Sam every time he forgets.

So, AITA for refusing to give up my lunch?
