Pregnant wife wants minimum 1 year separation. Says I’ll be allowed to see the child, but isn’t very clear on how much.

My wife is 7 months pregnant with our first child and wants to officially separate for at least a year. I said I want to be there to bathe the baby, feed, play, put to sleep, etc. I want to be a present father and she said I could still be present, but that she can do it all on her own and any questions I have of how I will be involved, the answer is probably no. And that just because I’m “the sperm donor” doesn’t entitle me to anything. I don’t want to do anything that will lead to further strain and possible divorce, but I want/need to be there while my baby grows up, even if I’m only missing the first 8 months.

Edit: located in Florida

Edit 2: We have marital problems. I haven’t shown her, in her eyes, enough drive to be successful as a family. As some of you have seen from other posts, I have problems with my family. That led me into a depression. I haven’t been able to break that funk and step up to the plate enough for her. But this is out of the scope of r/legaladvice
