Update on my stepdad stealing my underwear while I was on vacation.

I was reading responses to the post and went kind of radio silent as I did text my mom and this is how it went. I was gaslit and it just fucking sucked. Believe me I know what the right choice is. Bash him to the rest of the family and cut them off. I got engaged on the trip we went on and before we left my mom and I looked at a wedding venue and when I told her my fiance popped the question she put a non refundable $2000 deposit down on the wedding venue. So either she is just fucked on that or she still has my wedding which I can’t see her doing if I never talk to her again. I did tell my dad and he’s furious. He can’t do much as he’s almost 70 years old and has suffered several strokes over the last few years. I just told him not to tell anyone and I would decide if I wanted to go that route but he told me to go to therapy. He said if I did lash out and commit a crime (popping his tires) my mom and stepdad both wouldn’t go to the police as I have evidence of his crime as well but to try and stay away from that. My mom and stepdad got together while my parents were still married and my stepdad was dating my auntie at the time and her son popped his tires so that also wouldn’t be very original of me. Why does nobody care that the Trump Admin is defying a 9-0 Supreme Court ruling?

Regarding the facilitating of the return of Abrego Garcia. There's no mass protests, democrats in Congress aren't saying much, the military which is sworn to protect the Constitution is silent, the news media is covering it but it's just one more story, not a major crossing the Rubicon event for them. Trump said they would bring him back if the Supreme Court told him to do so, which they did. But then the DOJ said the court has no authority to require the US government to negotiate his return with El Salvador, and they would bring him in only if he showed up at the border.

My students are getting deported

I teach highschool French and I have three students in my class from Haiti. I found out yesterday that their protected status is being revoked and they have two weeks to leave the US.

These kids are seniors, they all have jobs and are just out here to survive. Now they are forced to go back to Haiti where they said it's not safe for them. I wanted to see them graduate, now they'll never be able to walk across the stage. I've been crying for hours yesterday but there's nothing I can do about it.

And it hurts me more that the majority of my schools teachers voted for this (super red state). It's disgusting.

What am I supposed to tell the class one they notice our students are missing? We aren't allowed to talk politics really, but I can't lie to them. I'm 22, it's my first year teaching, I never thought I'd have to encounter a situation like this. America needs to do better for our children.

Edit: Thank you all for the support, I think my students need it more than I do but I appreciate it none the less.

Some comments mentioned the idea of setting up a fund. I LOVE the idea, but I'll be honest I have no idea how to put something like that in action. If anyone knows how to create something like that please reach out. Thank you again.
