Aio?

Aio?

So I wanted to shave my head and still do and I told my bf and he said no so I said “then I’ll get a bob” and he and my dad said get it professionally done I said I don’t have the money and my bf said he’ll pay for it and I said ok and showed him these pictures and we agreed on them so Saturday I got it cut I asked him to show the lady cutting my hair where he wanted it, and he said at my jawline he was at the salon with me the whole time, she drenched my hair and cut it so it’s maybe 1 or 2 inches shorter then he wanted (the last 2 pics is my hair) and we dyed it (he payed for all of it). So when we were all done and went home, he wouldn’t touch me or cuddle me i thought maybe he wanted to go home bc he stayed the night at my house… Cut to Sunday, at work on his breaks he kept saying how he never wanted my hair cut and I look ugly now and I look like a boy now, he kept saying this for 2 days and i finally had enough and snapped saying “if u keep saying how u don’t like my hair I’ll shave it off”. Am I overreacting? I feel like I was kind enough to tell him I was gonna shave it and I was more than kind enough to compromise on not shaving it.

[Channing Frye] "Nostalgia is killing the NBA. The '90s basketball era with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant was not as clean as you think."

Channing Frye:
"Nostalgia is killing the NBA. The ’90s basketball era with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant was not as clean as you think. Y’all forget that Jordan left the league for two years. Y’all forget that Kobe—rest in peace—quit on his team in the playoffs and refused to shoot the basketball.

"So all this talk about Kobe, Jordan—'Oh, he’s not this, he’s not that'—it’s propaganda. Every great player, whether it’s Ant, Wemby, LeBron, Steph—whoever—gets compared to players from 40 years ago.

"But the rules weren’t even the same back then! You’re not really watching help-side defense. Who’s doing what? What are these rules? Nobody celebrates the new generation of players.

"So why would anyone want to be the face of the league when every network constantly criticizes them for not being like someone from 40 years ago? It’s ridiculous. It’s unfair.

"LeBron is one of the greatest players ever. Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players ever. Giannis is one of the greatest. Jokic—same thing. Yet we just keep talking about Michael Jordan."

I'm broke and non-technical, trying to develop tech startup

Before COVID, I started a marketing and consulting services in Nepal, which failed horribly leaving some thousand in debt. Since, I'm trying to develop a product for high school graduates and entrepreneurs to help finding out PMF and FMF, leaving no burden to start their journey as I've been there. I'm 22 now and the most productive age is slipping out of hand.

The FMF and PMF doesn't have strong back support inside south Asia, as compared to west. Though, investors are interested and non-technical individuals have 46% and 68% positive response on it.

How to get started from zero? And what's the right way and path to start and work on? I'm good at research, communication, presentation and management.

AITA for refusing to share my lottery winnings with my extended family?

I (34M) recently won a significant amount in the lottery. It was a life-changing amount, but not the kind where you end up on the Forbes list. After paying off debts and setting up college funds for my kids, I’ve planned to invest the rest for future security.

My family has always been pretty close-knit, and we’ve supported each other through tough times. Since my win, I’ve helped my immediate family (parents and siblings) with some major bills and financial issues. I thought everyone would be happy with this arrangement.

However, at a family gathering last week, one of my uncles brought up the idea of me giving each family member a portion of the winnings. This includes distant cousins, second cousins, and even family friends, amounting to over 30 people. I laughed it off initially, thinking it was a joke. But then several family members approached me throughout the night, mentioning how much they could use the money to ease their lives.

I got frustrated and finally announced that I had no intention of splitting my winnings further and believed what I’d already given was enough. This caused a huge uproar. Some family members accused me of being selfish and greedy, and my aunt even said I was forgetting my roots and those who stood by me during my lowest lows.

Now, I feel cornered and upset. I believe I should be allowed to enjoy the fruits of my (admittedly lucky) labor without being deemed an ATM. My partner thinks I should ignore them and do what’s best for our immediate family, but the tension has made me second-guess whether I’m being unfair.

AITA for wanting to keep the rest of my lottery winnings to myself and not distribute them among my extended family and friends?

I farted in the stairwell at work and it caused a entire ordeal.

So anyway I drank my usual morning protein shake and it gave me some bubble guts.

Im going up the stairs to my office and I ripped a huge fart in the stairwell. It was one of those steamy ones that really stink.

Anyway I guess the SVP of HR came in not long after and got a big face full of my beef.

She contacted the facilities team and they came to a conclusion that a rodent must have died in the walls or HVAC.

This led to them getting big blower fans and calling our HVAC company to check out the ducts and Orkin to scout out the walls

Anyway that's my story.

A Most Glorious Day: Return-to-Office Mandate

Today is my first day back in the office on a full-time basis. It feels so good to finally be accountable again. For five years, since the start of the Covid Hoax, I have been on vacation. I have been needing--nay, begging--to be held to a standard again, to be forced to do my job, to be rescued from my laziness. I am elated beyond belief that the day in which I commence working again has finally arrived.

Make no mistake, fellow feds, it is we who are the problem. It certainly is not Congress who presided for decades over the slow death of the American Dream. It is not the politicians in Washington who destroyed the economy by enacting tax cut after tax cut for the wealthy while ballooning the budget and creating a massive debt that can never be repaid. No, our elected leaders have not engendered a deep hatred of our system of government by its own people through failing to ensure workers are paid a living wage while allowing corporations across every sector to consolidate into too-big-to-fail behemoths of inefficiency that collude to price gouge us into oblivion so they can pursue the maximization of profit as their primary reason for existence. No, it is people like myself, a mid-size agency first-line supervisor at a midwestern field office, who have wrecked this country. We must be punished, and to accept this punishment with grace is to know the true meaning of patriotism.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, my friends. America is indeed great again. God bless and praise be.

[Amick] Jimmy Butler told those close to him that Pat Riley referenced his recently deceased father several times during the meeting, offered “unsolicited and unwanted” parenting advice and even shed tears before ending the meeting by telling Butler he loved him.

According to multiple league sources with knowledge of the meeting, tears welled in Riley’s eyes as he attempted to connect with Butler on a human level. Both men had lost their fathers, and Riley’s famed toughness faded in the moment as he thought about Butler mourning his father’s death last season.

But Riley’s vulnerability did not land with Butler.

From Butler’s vantage point, Riley was “unhinged and disturbing,” as a league source close to him described it.
